Turkey Announces Arrest Of Mossad Agent In Istanbul – The Cradle 9/3/24

Turkish security officials announced on Tuesday the arrest of Liridon Rexhepi, a Kosovan national identified by the Turkish National Intelligence Organization (MIT) as the head of Mossad’s financial network in Turkey.

Citing security sources, Turkish media revealed Rexhepi “was transferring money to Mossad’s field agents in Turkiye who filmed Mossad targets with drones, led psychological operations against Palestinian politicians, and gathered intelligence about the Syrian field.”

The past several days have seen a significant uptick in rare Israeli airstrikes deep into Lebanese territory, with multiple airstrikes having hit the Bekaa Valley in the country’s east.

Most of the strikes were late Monday into Tuesday, with the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) describing that fighter jets attacked a “Hezbollah weapons storage facilities in the area of Bekaa Valley in Lebanon” – resulting in massive fireballs lighting up the night sky.

Russia condemned “provocative actions” of both American journalists and US mercenaries spotted on Russian territory in the context of the Kursk invasion.

The Ukrainian government is still proclaiming that its forces are making progress into the southern Russian oblast of Kursk, while the Kremlin has at the same time said its troops destroyed an entire reconnaissance and sabotage group in western Kursk on Friday.

In a first which hasn’t been witnessed since World War 2, Western battle tanks have been operating inside Russian territory. Sky News is reporting Thursday that Ukrainian troops have used British Challenger 2 tanks during the ongoing cross-border offensive in Russia’s Kursk region.

“While the UK and Ukraine governments remain tight-lipped on operational details, a source has signaled British tanks have crossed into Russia for Ukraine’s Kursk offensive,” the publication writes.

A Monday NY Times report revealed of Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin’s recent phone call with Israeli counterpart, Yoav Gallant, the following: “In an unusual disclosure, it said Mr. Austin had ordered a submarine to the Middle East.” This line alone begs the question, where is the elected civilian authority of the executive branch, the Commander-in-Chief, right now? And where is Congressional authority and oversight to wage war and put troops in harm’s way? NY Times described further that in the call Austin “reiterated the United States’ commitment to take every possible step to defend Israel.”

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Foreign Minister Israel Katz are holding emergency consultations with the country’s senior defense leadership following a devastating Hezbollah rocket attack on the town of Majdal Shams in Israel’s north which resulted in 30 casualties, including at least ten killed.

Nine victims among the several dozen injured are said to be in critical condition, many of them children, some as young as ten. Foreign Minister Katz told a state broadcaster, “There is no doubt that Hezbollah crossed all red lines.”

F-16 Fighter Jets Now On Their Way To Ukraine, White House Says – ZeroHedge 7/10/24

American-made F-16 fighters jets are currently on their way to Ukraine, Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced Wednesday during a NATO public forum of the alliance’s annual summit being hosted in Washington D.C. President Biden confirmed alongside European allies that “The transfer process for these F-16s is now under way.”

The program has been one year in the making, which has included training Ukrainian pilots at sites on US soil and in Europe. “Those jets will be flying in the skies of Ukraine this summer, to make sure that Ukraine can continue to effectively defend itself against the Russian aggression,” Blinken said further….

US and UK warplanes launched several airstrikes on Hodeidah International Airport in western Yemen on 12 July.

“US–British aircraft targeted Hodeidah International Airport with three raids,” a security source told Yemen’s SABA news agency.
