Plato’s Cave Resurrected – Bert Olivier 3/28/24

Having lived through more than four years of systematic subjection to gaslighting as well as misinformation by the mainstream media, governments and non-elected, private global companies, those among us who sojourn in the land of the awake and awakened, would understand the metaphor of ‘looking at shadows.’ And if you do, perhaps some readers might recall that in the 4th century BCE there was an ancient Greek philosopher named Plato, who invented a myth involving shadows to explain the congenitally deceptive character of the human world in space and time.

Biden’s War on Domestic Energy Intensifies – Brent Bennett 2/18/24

Source: RealClearWire.com

On Jan. 26, President Joe Biden took an aggressive step forward in his war on American energy by halting the permitting of new liquified natural gas (LNG) export terminals. This action has massive global implications, as TPPF’s Mark Mills laid out when the decision was publicly announced.

It also has the added benefit for the president of attacking primarily Texas and Louisiana, red states that account for the bulk of U.S. LNG exports. This decision comes on the heels of Texas taking steps to secure its border with Mexico, putting the state directly at odds with the administration—once again.

The UN’s Annual $8 Billion Budget to Support Global Migration – Robert W. Malone MD 1/31/24

Source: rwmalonemd.substack.com

The mission creep of the United Nations has gotten way out of control. As just one of many examples, the UN mission to unilaterally encourage global migration has resulted in multiple avoidable political crises. It is past time to de-fund and re-organize the United Nations. In the case of the US Congress under the current executive, in the immediate future this can be accomplished through use of specific restrictions on how appropriations can be used, much as is commonly done with internal budgeting. Looking forward to a new executive administration, this should be coupled with diplomatic efforts to build an international coalition of nations which will support a major defunding and restructuring effort.

Europe Erupts In Widespread Farmer Protests As Revolt Against ‘Green’ Policies Intensifies – ZeroHedge 1/31/24

Source: ZeroHedge.com

Farmers in France, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, Belgium, Romania, and other countries across Europe are protesting radical leftist governments by obstructing major transport networks with tractors. This widespread populist movement is sweeping Europe at a time when over-regulation, taxes, and the climate change agenda threaten the livelihoods of not just farmers but working-class people and comes several months before the European election cycle kicks off in June.

Some countries hit hardest by protests have been Germany, Italy, Belgium, and France. Protests are expected to spread to Spain and Portugal.

Dutch Government’s $25 Billion Plan to Get Rid of Farmers; Funded by Taxpayers – Dr. Joseph Mercola 1/26/24

Source: ChildrensHealthDefense.org

Story at a glance:

  • Dutch cattle farmers own 70% of Holland, but the government is pushing for a forced buyout of 50% of their land, claiming it’s necessary to reduce pollution.
  • Experts say the move to get rid of farmers isn’t about the environment but, rather, taking control of valuable land.
  • The government’s computer models, which are used to support its plan to reduce nitrogen by buying up farmland, are based on a flawed assumption that nitrogen migrates from one field to the next.
  • The push to remove farmers from their land is being driven by nongovernmental organizations (NGOs), which are primarily funded by the government, making them government extensions.
  • A $25 billion government fund, created using taxpayers’ money, has been established to buy farmers’ land; once a farmer sells their land, they’ll be legally prohibited from establishing a farm anywhere else in Europe.

The Year that Expertise Collapsed – Jeffrey A. Tucker 12/31/23

Source: Brownstone.org

Getting sick and getting well is part of the human experience at all times in all places. As with other phenomena of human existence, that suggests there is a great deal of embedded knowledge on the topic woven into the fabric of our lives. We aren’t born knowing but we come to know: from our moms and dads, experience of siblings and others, from our own experience, and from medical professionals who deal with the problem daily.

In a healthy and functioning society, the path toward maintaining personal and public health becomes embedded in the cultural firmament, just like manners, belief systems, and value preferences. It’s not necessary that we think about it constantly; instead it becomes a habit, with much of the knowledge tacit; that is, deployed daily but rarely with full cognizance.

We could know for certain that there had been a change in the matrix in March 2020 because, seemingly out of nowhere, all of this knowledge was deemed wrong. A new gaggle of experts was in charge, one day to the next. Suddenly, they were everywhere. They were on TV, quoted by all the newspapers, amplified on social media, and on the phone constantly with local officials instructing them on how they must shut down the schools, businesses, playgrounds, churches, and civic gatherings.

In his new apostolic exhortation, Laudate Deum, Pope Francis warns us that the end is near, both for “our suffering planet” and, by extension, for us. “[T]he world in which we live is collapsing and may be nearing the breaking point,” he writes. “[I]t is indubitable that the impact of climate change will increasingly prejudice the lives and families of many persons.”

Continuing on through 73 laborious paragraphs, each darker than the last, Francis warns us that we are facing the apocalypse.

New Research Shows Wildfires Have Decreased Globally While Media Coverage has Spiked 400% – Clare Marie Merkowsky 8/31/23

Source: LifeSiteNews.com

Research has revealed that wildfires are on the decline, despite the mainstream narrative that they have increased because of “climate change.”

Danish author and academic Bjorn Lomborg’s analysis, published in the Wall Street Journal, reveals a large disparity between the actual number of wildfires and the concern raised over them by the mainstream media and politicians.

“Climate change hasn’t set the world on fire,” Lomborg declared. “It turns out the percentage of the globe that burns each year has been declining since 2001.”

Why Biofuels Like Corn-Based Ethanol Are Worse for the Environment Than Gasoline – Dr. Joseph Mercola 7/11/23

Source: ChildrensHealthDefense.org

Story at a glance:

  • Carbon neutrality refers to a product that has net zero carbon emissions. The manufacture and use of corn-based ethanol has expanded based on the assumption that it’s carbon neutral and therefore far better for the environment than gasoline. However, several studies have shown that such assumptions are categorically false.
  • A 2016 study found corn grown for ethanol only offset 37% of carbon dioxide emissions produced by burning biofuels, resulting in net-positive carbon dioxide emissions that are greater than gasoline.
  • One of the primary reasons why growing corn for ethanol has a net-positive (carbon dioxide) CO2 impact is because farmers are plowing up native grasslands to make more room for corn; 60 tons of carbon dioxide are released into the environment per acre of grassland plowed.
  • Ignoring water consumption further underestimates CO2 emissions from land-use change by 28%. When corn plants’ water needs are considered, corn ethanol is worse for the environment than gasoline.
  • A five-year study published in 2022 concluded the CO2 emissions from corn-based ethanol are at least 24% greater than that of gasoline. On top of that, it has led to increased fertilizer use, resulting in greater water pollution and a growing dead zone in the Gulf of Mexico.

US Military Can’t Afford to Fool Around With Feel Good Green Initiatives – Mike Fredenburg 7/3/23

The U.S. military is in decline and now faces a peer competitor, China, that vastly outmatches the United States in terms of military–industrial capacity. And in research, China has a “stunning lead” over the United States in 37 out of 44 critical and emerging technologies, many of which are directly defense related.

Yet our military is spending an increasing percentage of its time, money, and mindshare on so-called green initiatives. One of the latest of these initiatives is the Army’s plan to run a series of field tests on a multi-ton, wheeled battery pack as part of its efforts to reduce reliance on fossil fuels.

Nestlé Backtracks On KitKat Carbon Neutral Pledge As Tree Planting Comes Into Question – ZeroHedge 6/28/23

Multinationals have been making all sorts of carbon neutrality claims in recent years. Take, for instance, Nestlé’s well-known chocolate bar brand, KitKat, which stated in 2021 that the candy bar would “become carbon neutral by 2025.” But the offset was partially based on tree planting, which is unreliable and difficult to measure, with very little transparency about the level of emissions reduced or offset. In other words, Nestlé made sustainability claims without concrete evidence (some call this a ‘greenwashing’ scam).
