The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) knew for years that certain popular smartphones exceeded the agency’s safety limits for human exposure to wireless radiation when held close to the body, according to data obtained by the Environmental Health Trust (EHT) via Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests.

Rather than going public with the testing results, the FCC hid them — even when important lawsuits concerning cellphone radiation’s impact on people’s health were underway.

Study Links Cellphone Use to Lower Sperm Count, but Authors Downplay Findings – Suzanne Burdick, Ph.D. 11/9/23

30 Groups Call on EU Regulators to Ban Sales of iPhone 12 that Failed Safety Test – Suzanne Burdick, Ph.D. 10/5/23

Thirty organizations on Tuesday joined the France-based Phonegate Alert to demand that French and European authorities permanently withdraw Apple’s iPhone 12 from all European markets.

The demand came after France lifted a temporary sales ban on the phone. The ban was first imposed when Apple’s iPhone 12 failed radiation safety test.

The organizations also threatened legal action against Apple if the company does not compensate current iPhone 12 owners for subjecting them to illegally high levels of radiofrequency (RF) radiation.

FCC Defies Court Mandate, Delays Review of Cellphone Radiation Guidelines – Suzanne Burdick Ph.D. 8/2/23

Despite the Children Health Defense’s (CHD) “historic win” against the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) nearly two years ago, the FCC has yet to comply with the court mandate to explain how its radiofrequency (RF) radiation exposure guidelines adequately protect humans from harm.

The agency last week published its regulatory agenda for the next six months. The agenda made no mention of the Aug. 13, 2021, U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit court decision.

FCC Orders Review of ‘Behemoth 5G Towers’ Being Installed in New York City – Children’s Health Defense 4/28/23

U.S. Invests $1.5 Billion to Spur 5G Rollout Despite New Evidence of ‘Devastating’ Health Issues – Children’s Health Defense 4/17/23

A new study from Sweden showed that a previously healthy woman developed symptoms of “microwave syndrome” shortly after a 5G cell tower was installed 60 meters — nearly 200 feet — from her apartment.

According to the study, published April 10 in the Annals of Clinical and Medical Case Reports, the 52-year-old woman developed “severe health problems” — including “unbearable” pain, headache, dizziness, loss of immediate memory, confusion, fatigue, anxiety, nose bleeds and issues with her lungs, stomach and urinary system.

9 Leading Experts: RF Radiation Can Lead to Brain Damage, Alzheimer’s – Children’s Health Defense 3/9/23

Research on 5G radiofrequency (RF) radiation shows it can cause brain damage and possibly lead to dementia and Alzheimer’s disease, according to nine independent experts in the RF radiation field.

In a peer-reviewed article published last week in the Annals of Clinical and Medical Case Reports, the experts called on authorities to heed the voices of the RF scientific community by establishing a “more stringent regulatory framework” on RF radiation and by halting the rollout of 5G technologies — including smart meters and 5G cell towers — until a team of “qualified scientists independent of industry” review the risks of the technology.

“The situation is absurd,” said Mona Nilsson, managing director of the Swedish Radiation Protection Foundation and lead author of the article.

CHD, California Groups Sue Los Angeles County to Stop Fast-Track Proliferation of Wireless Towers – Children’s Health Defense 3/8/23

Children’s Health Defense (CHD) and a coalition of community and environmental groups advocating for safe technology on Monday sued Los Angeles County to overturn amendments adopted by the county in January that allow for the fast-tracked proliferation of wireless infrastructure without due process and without residents’ right to appeal.

5G Towers Appearing Around Houston Area has Residents Asking Questions – ABC13 2/13/23

Imagine a 40-foot-tall pole popping up outside your home!

It’s happening in the Memorial Chase neighborhood in Spring. Neighbors say they don’t know what they are, but they want them gone.

“You wake up one morning, and you have a truck driver that wants to deliver a 40-foot pole in your front yard, and it’s like, ‘that’s interesting,'” Don Cochran said with a raised eyebrow.

He’s talking about a cell tower explicitly built to provide 5G capability.

5G Towers Can Make Healthy People Sick, Two Case Reports Show – Children’s Health Defense 2/23/23

A new case report shows that two previously healthy men rapidly developed typical “microwave syndrome” symptoms shortly after a 5G cell tower was installed on the roof of their office.

According to the report, published Feb. 4 in the Annals of Clinical Case Reports, the men experienced headaches, joint pain, tinnitus, abnormal fatigue, sleep disturbances, burning skin, anxiety and trouble concentrating.

4 Studies Add to Evidence of Wireless Technology-Related Electromagnetic Radiation in Humans – Children’sHealthDefense 1/18/23

New studies from Sweden, China, Australia and the U.K. shed light on human exposure to electromagnetic radiation from wireless technologies, but the authors of one study alleged industry tried to censor their research, and in another case, critics accused researchers of having conflicts of interest with the telecom industry.

In the first example, an international peer-reviewed journal — Annals of Case Reports — on Jan. 10 published a Swedish case report showing 5G radiation causes symptoms indicative of “microwave syndrome.”

The telecom industry initially attempted to censor the article, the study authors said.
