Turkiye Bombs Syria as Erdogan Declares ‘First Phase’ of Anti-Kurdish Campaign Complete – The Cradle 10/10/23

The new waves of attacks by the Turkish air force hit northern Syria on 10 October, targeting dozens of Kurdistan Workers Party fighters (PKK) fighters.

The Turkish Defense Ministry says the airstrikes were launched against 16 PKK targets in Metina (al-Dahi).

“Many terrorists were neutralized by using the maximum amount of domestic and national ammunition in the operations,” the ministry stated.

This attack came hours after President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced that the first phase of the operations in northern Syria was completed.

“The first phase of our operation, in which we targeted only members of the terrorist organization, facilities used by terrorists, sources of income and capabilities of terrorism, was completed successfully,” Erdogan said.
