An exchange of fire took place on Lebanon’s southern border on 8 October between Hezbollah and Israel, coinciding with a massive and ongoing Hamas offensive in the Israeli-occupied territories.
Three Israeli army sites in the occupied Shebaa Farms area of the Lebanese border were targeted by Hezbollah, a statement by the resistance group said.
“On the path to liberating what remains of our occupied Lebanese land, and in solidarity with the victorious Palestinian resistance and the struggling and patient Palestinian people … The groups of the martyr leader Haj Imad Mughniyeh in the Islamic Resistance, this morning, Sunday, October 8, 2023, attacked three sites of the Zionist occupation in the occupied Lebanese Shebaa Farms.”
“The radar site, the Zabdin site, and the Ruwaisat Al-Alam site were hit with large numbers of artillery shells and guided missiles, and the sites were hit directly,” the Hezbollah statement said….
