Japan was passing everything along to its Western partners in the implied hopes of them then supporting it more in its own part of the world.

Belarusian media reported earlier this month that their security services busted a Japanese spy. He allegedly entered into a fictitious marriage that helped him legalize his stay in the country, after which he set up a business in Gomel to explain his travels, including to the border. He also taught Japanese. The spy allegedly had over 9,000 photos of roads, bridges, and military facilities and was actively in contact with his embassy. These reports raised a lot of eyebrows since few expected Japan to spy on Belarus.

Wallet in Telegram will be temporarily restricted for users in the United Kingdom — due to a restructuring that saw Wallet in Telegram join the Open Platform— and will be available after the entity registers as a corporate asset provider, according to a Sept. 25 announcement from the wallet provider.

The popular third-party said it decided to register as a crypto asset provider under the current Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) regulations and will disable the in-app wallet features for UK residents until Wallet, the firm behind the app, has obtained the proper regulatory licenses….

Israeli Army Raids, Shuts Down Al Jazeera’s West Bank News Room – ZeroHedge 9/22/24

Back in May, Israel’s Knesset voted unanimously to ban the Al Jazeera broadcast network. The Israeli order effectively shut down all Al Jazeera broadcasts in Israel.

Authorities soon after raided its offices and confiscated equipment at the channel’s Jerusalem HQ inside the Ambassador Hotel. The Qatar-based news network has said it was unfairly targeted for the ‘crime’ of mere journalism, as it tends to given in-depth coverage to the plight of Palestinians. But West Bank offices remained open, until this weekend.

‘Operation al-Aqsa Flood’ Day 349: Nasrallah Says ‘We Wish’ Israel Invades Lebanon – Qassam Muaddi 9/19/24

Following the Lebanon pager explosion attacks, Nasrallah said an Israeli invasion would be a “historic opportunity” to target Israeli forces. Earlier in the week, Israel razed an entire residential block in central Gaza, killing at least 40 people.

Casualties

  • 41,272 + killed* and at least 95,551 wounded in the Gaza Strip. 32,280 of the slain have been identified, including 10,627 children and 5,956 women, representing 60% of the casualties, and 2,770 elderly as of August 6, 2024. Some 10,000 more are estimated to be under the rubble*

An overnight Ukrainian drone attack triggered a massive explosion and large fires in northwestern Russia’s Tver region. Is believed the initial drone strike hit an important Russian weapons stockpile.

“A fire started in Toropets, Tver region, as a result of falling debris from a drone that was repelled by air defense forces,” the Tver regional administration said early Wednesday. The oblast declared a “partial evacuation” due to the large blast and surrounding fires. Social media video showed a huge fireball erupt against the night sky.

There is a popular school of thought that believes most economic stability is purely psychological; that the health of the economy relies on the population NOT knowing the true state of things. In other words, “ignorance is bliss.” I partially agree with the premise but only under certain conditions.
