British “Watchdog” Journalists Unmasked as Lap Dogs for the Security State – MintPressNews 6/21/22

Source: MintPressNews.com

Events of the past few days suggest British journalism – the so-called Fourth Estate – is not what it purports to be: a watchdog monitoring the centers of state power. It is quite the opposite.

The pretensions of the establishment media took a severe battering this month as the defamation trial of Guardian columnist Carole Cadwalladr reached its conclusion and the hacked emails of Paul Mason, a long-time stalwart of the BBC, Channel 4 and the Guardian, were published online.

Both of these celebrated journalists have found themselves outed as recruits – in their differing ways – to a covert information war being waged by Western intelligence agencies.

Disaster In The Heartland: Wheat Crops In Kansas Are Failing On A Massive Scale – MichaelSnyder 6/21/22

Source: TheEconomicCollapseBlog.com

Did you know that Kansas is known as “the Wheat State”?  In 2021, it produced nearly one-fourth of all wheat that was harvested in the United States.  Needless to say, we really need Kansas to come up big again this year because the war in Ukraine and a number of other factors have combined to bring us to the precipice of an absolutely horrifying global food crisis.  Unfortunately, things are not going well in Kansas this year.  In fact, wheat crops in much of the state are failing on a massive scale

Portland Resembles an ‘Open Air Drug Market’ After Decriminalizing Hard Drugs: Overdose Deaths Skyrocket by 41% – DailyMail 6/16/22

Source: DailyMail.co.uk

The streets of Portland resemble an ‘open air drug market’ after state officials’ scheme to decriminalize hard drugs led to a surge in overdose deaths, critics claim.

Law enforcement agents say that the streets of Portland are full of homeless addicts openly buying and selling drugs and that signs of drug addiction are actually increasing statewide, Fox News reported.

Photos show the desperate situation in the liberal Pacific Northwest city, where people can be seen shooting up drugs or passed out in broad daylight.

The dreadful scene comes 16 months after Ballot Measure 110-which passed with 58.8 percent support- decriminalized hard drugs in the Democrat-run state….

NFL Embraces LGBTQ+, Gun ‘Ban’, Jan. 6, Other Liberal Causes While Ignoring Conservative Views – OutKick 6/15/22

Source: OutKick.com

The NFL during the 2022 offseason? It is admittedly about big trades (Davante Adams, Matt Ryan), big contracts for receivers (A.J. Brown, Adams, Tyreek Hill, Stefon Diggs and others), and big contracts for the stars (Cooper Kupp and Aaron Donald) who helped the Los Angeles Rams win the Super Bowl.

The NFL of the 2022 offseason is, in other words, much about what we’ve all come to expect of the most popular sports league in America.

But it’s also about some other things.

Controversial things.

Divisive things.

Twitter and the Freedom of Speech – AndrewP.Napolitano 6/16/22

“Congress shall make no law … abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press.”
–First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution

When James Madison authored the language that would become the First Amendment, he and his colleagues feared that the new federal government might enact legislation that would interfere with personal liberty. That fear was shared by many in the 13 states that had just ratified the Constitution. Indeed, five of the states conditioned their ratification on the addition of a Bill of Rights.

The Economic Meltdown Has Roots in Lockdown – JeffreyA.Tucker 6/13/22

Source: Brownstone.org

merican’s capacity for denial is truly a thing to behold. For at least 27 months, it should have been obvious that we were headed for a grave crisis. Not only that: the crisis was already here in March 2020.

For weird reasons, some people, many people, imagined that governments could just shut down an economy and turn it back on without consequence. And yet here we are.

Historians of the future, if there are any intelligent ones among them, will surely be aghast at our astounding ignorance. Congress enacted decades of spending in just two years and figured it would be fine. The printing presses at the Fed ran at full tilt. No one cared to do anything about the trade snarls or supply-chain breakages. And here we are.

How the Federal Government Buys Our Cell Phone Location Data – EFF 6/13/22

Source: EFF.org

Over the past few years, data brokers and federal military, intelligence, and law enforcement agencies have formed a vast, secretive partnership to surveil the movements of millions of people. Many of the mobile apps on our cell phones track our movements with great precision and frequency. Data brokers harvest our location data from the app developers, and then sell it to these agencies. Once in government hands, the data is used by the military to spy on people overseas, by ICE to monitor people in and around the U.S., and by criminal investigators like the FBI and Secret Service. This post will draw on recent research and reporting to explain how this surveillance partnership works, why is it alarming, and what can we do about it.

Zuckerberg, Rockefeller, Google and the Privatization of Election Integrity – F.WilliamEngdahl 6/8/22

Source: WilliamEngdahl.com

Increasing evidence is coming to light detailing the hijacking of the core of the American elections system that not only sheds light on the 2020 US elections, but also on private financing the very infrastructure of local election clerks and election procedures including drop-box mail-in balloting and expenses of city and county election offices. The room for abuse is staggering as the process is not transparent. At the heart of this is a little-known “non-profit” known as the oddly-named Center for Tech and Civic Life or CTCL. The alleged creator of CTCL and current head is a former Obama Foundation Fellow, Tiana Epps-Johnson. A close scrutiny of her CTCL funders and operations suggest she was simply chosen as a convenient vehicle by very powerful foundations and Big Tech companies to transform the very structure and control of the American elections process.

Banned By Google For Posting POLITICALLY Incorrect News Links – PoliticallyIncorrectNews 6/10/22

Last week, I received a notice that my weekly Privacy/Civil Rights links from May 16th, 2022 was banned for violating Google’s “Community Guidelines”.

To anyone who says America is a free country I say bullshit. When Big Tech bans authors from posting links to stories that they disagree with, then freedom of the press as we know it has been destroyed.

For fourteen years I have been blogging about privacy, civil rights and the surveillance state. And within the past 3-5 years, I’ve experienced soft bans on social media.

America’s Frontier Fund exemplifies the revolving door between the tech industry and government.

Ex-Google CEO Eric Schmidt is an example of how you can shape public policy without ever running for office.

A few months ago, the revelation of Schmidt’s deep involvement with the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy raised ethics concerns as some questioned if it was appropriate for a tech billionaire to fund a government office that advises the president on tech policy.

Debt vs Autonomy – RobertW.MaloneMD 5/26/22

Source: rwmalonemd.substack.com

The unresolved conflict between Jefferson and Hamilton enables WEF hegemony.

Policies and practices designed to drive either individuals or Nation-States into debt have long been a preferred method for political coercion, cooptation, enslavement, incremental dominance and control. A form of subtle, creeping indentured servitude. Neither individuals, communities, businesses nor Nation-States can be free when they are indebted (financially or otherwise) to another. This subtle method of control of both Nation-States and their citizens has been consciously, intentionally, and strategically deployed by central banks for centuries. This is the method by which the World Economic Forum, itself a guild representing the interests of the largest corporations (and their controlling owners), seeks to transform itself into a fascist totalitarian world government.

US Engaged In “Offensive” Cyber Ops Against Russia In Ukraine: NSA Director – ZeroHedge 6/3/22

The US military has issued a stunning but perhaps not entirely unexpected admission that it has been conducting offensive cyber operations in support of Ukraine. It marks the first ever such acknowledgement, and suggests – as many observers have long suspected – a deeper Pentagon and US intelligence role in Ukraine against the Russian military than previously thought.

National Security Agency (NSA) and US Cyber Command Director Gen. Paul Nakasone told the UK’s Sky News on Wednesday, “We’ve conducted a series of operations across the full spectrum: offensive, defensive, [and] information operations.” This includes “offensive hacking operations” he said….

A Brief History of Domestic Terrorism: From Cointel Pro to 9/11 and Beyond – MatthewEhret 5/26/22

Source: MatthewEhret.substack.com

Since a new wave of ‘domestic terror attacks’ have erupted over the past two weeks both in Buffalo and now more recently in Texas, the citizens of the USA and trans-Atlantic community more broadly are being whipped up into a frenzy of fear and confusion over the causes of ‘domestic terror’ which can only be remedied by increased dictatorial powers of the population.

As has often been the trend in our post-9/11 age, such highly publicized atrocities have tended to carry in their wake ever expanded state powers to surveille, censor and manipulate the confused and fearful population who lacks an ability to discern the true causes of the horrifying events framed for their consumption on mainstream media.

Before acquiescing to greater tyrannical powers to those agencies controlling western governments in exchange for promised security, it were wise to evaluate how and why terrorism – domestic or otherwise – has tended to arise over the past century.

Shouldn’t Hillary Clinton Be Banned From Twitter Now? – MattTaibbi 5/27/22

Source: taibbi.substack.com

Trial testimony reveals Hillary Clinton personally approved serious election misinformation. Is there an anti-Trump exception to content moderation?

Last week, in the trial of former Clinton campaign lawyer Michael Sussmann, prosecutor Andrew DeFilippis asked ex-campaign manager Robby Mook about the decision to share with a reporter a bogus story about Donald Trump and Russia’s Alfa Bank. Mook answered by giving up his onetime boss. “I discussed it with Hillary,” he said, describing his pitch to the candidate: “Hey, you know, we have this, and we want to share it with a reporter… She agreed to that.”

In a country with a functioning media system, this would have been a huge story. Obviously this isn’t Watergate, Hillary Clinton was never president, and Sussmann’s trial doesn’t equate to prosecutions of people like Chuck Colson or Gordon Liddy. But as we’ve slowly been learning for years, a massive fraud was perpetrated on the public with Russiagate, and Mook’s testimony added a substantial piece of the picture, implicating one of the country’s most prominent politicians in one of the more ambitious disinformation campaigns we’ve seen.
