Shelling has been reported in southern Lebanon from across the Israeli border, with at least three Hezbollah watchtowers being destroyed after Palestinian fighters infiltrated the border in the afternoon of 9 October.
Local sources near the border area say explosions were heard near Al-Dahaira, and clouds of smoke were spotted near the southern coast. The UN Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) said it “detected explosions near Al-Boustan in southwest Lebanon.”
According to Israeli media, Palestinian fighters managed to infiltrate a northern settlement. In response, Israeli helicopters reportedly bombed positions near the border….
