Israel assassinated two men in a drone strike near the Syrian town of Beit Jinn, near the border of the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights, pro-opposition Syria TV reported on 21 September.
Local reports say the two men, Ali Okasha Abu Jarrah and Zaher as-Saadi Abu Alaa, were killed by a missile while riding a motorcycle.
Rumors on social media said they were members of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ), but sources in the resistance speaking with the Lebanese Al-Ahed newspaper denied this.
There was no immediate comment from Syrian authorities or pro-government media outlets on the alleged strike.
Israel does not officially claim responsibility for attacks on Syria but has acknowledged conducting hundreds of airstrikes against the Syrian army and allied forces since the beginning of the US-led covert war on Damascus in 2011….
