Law enforcement officers are investigating whether a retired federal agent had about 30 minutes advance notice of a white supremacist’s plans to murder Black people at a Buffalo supermarket, two law enforcement officials told The Buffalo News.
Authorities believe the former agent – believed to be from Texas – was one of at least six individuals who regularly communicated with accused gunman Payton Gendron in an online chat room where racist hatred was discussed, the two officials said….

Taiwan’s digital COVID-19 certificate, used to verify testing and vaccination status, will now include the individual’s national ID number, reported the Taipei Times.
The Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) said that the digital vaccine certificates, rolled out on January 1 this year, will now include the national ID number, and it will require insurance companies to allow residents to use Covid certificates to make claims….

At least 18 babies under four weeks old died in March, a rate of 4.6 per 1,000 births.
